My postgraduate study

Hi Everyone! So, today I'm going to talk about what postgraduate study I would like to do.

As I said in my last blog, what I would like to do after I graduate and receive my Dental Surgeon, is to do a postgraduate study to be a pediatric dentist, that's because of two reasons:
The first one is, to be honest, it's difficult nowadays to find job as a Dentist, so you need (at least, most of the times) a specialty. And last one, is that personally I like working with kids, many times in the past I've worked with them, like preparing fun activities at the school, educative classes and urban interventions, so I think that maaaybe doing that would be easier and funnier for me.

About where I'd study the postgraduate, I've always dreamed of studying in Germany, but I don't have a special reason, just because I want to know how is to live there. But if I have to be real, I'd do the postgraduate here in Chile in the "Universidad de Chile", but not after I graduate, first I'd like to apply as a "General de zona" in the south of Chile, because I'll need a lot of money (money I don't have) to pay for my studies. So, once I achieve the amount of money that I'll need (and maybe more) I'll do the study, while doing a part time job as a dentist maybe.

My future job

Hi everyone, today I'll be talking about my future job or actually, my "dream job".

As everyone in this class knows, I'm studying dentistry to be a dentist (kind of ovbious), but my road doesn't end here. After I graduate I want to specialize in pediatric dentistry (because children like me and I like them too) and fly to the south of Chile -I don't know where yet- to start working there. To be honest, I'm still thinking about my future profession as a dentist, so I'm not so sure what will happen about that, but there is one thing I always wanted to do, but because of my time I've never tried to, and it's creating my own songs or melodies and play them in public. Maybe it's just a "child's dream" but seriously, since I was very young I used to imagine myself playing in public my own songs, and actually, there was only one time in which I made my dream come true and it was back in my school.


In my school I was the only kid who knew how to play piano, so in every opportunity my music teacher had, he always invited me to play in different activities in my school, always motivating me to start a local band. And so, when I was in my last year at school (sadly the same year the teacher left it), me and some friends started a band called "La Ruta", in which we did some covers and created 3 songs and played them in 3 different places in my hometown.



Maybe in the future  I'll play my own music with my little pacients, I don't know, it sounds like a funny idea.

 

My hobby

Hi everyone!

Today I will talk about my favourite hobby during this year.

I have changed my hobby from last year. It used to be swimming, and now I started to expand my musical abilities, so I began learning how to play the Armonica. Since I was little, I always liked the idea of me making music or playing music, so I learned how to play the guitar at first, but I didn't like something about it, so I started learning how to play piano. Since then, I started to like music theory and composition, along with improvisation, but improvising in piano is very, VERY difficult, so I blocked the idea to improvise music from my mind. That's when the idea of playing the armonica appeared.



One of the songs I`ve played and learned in piano is "Piano Man" by Billy Joel (HERE IS THE LINK, IF YOU ARE IN THE MOOD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxEPV4kolz0) , in which he plays the armonica and the piano at the same time. After I listened to this song like a hundred times, along with some blues armonica improvisation, the idea of playing the armonica started to be more powerful. And so, between november and dicember of the last year, I bought my first armonica.



Nowadays, I haven't had armonica classes yet, so I've been practicing by myself in my house, watching tutorials in youtube. Maybe one day, I'll be a "Piano Man".

A country i would like to visit

Right now, I'm not looking for one country in particular, I would like to travel all America Latina, because I want to learn and see the big cultural differences that we latin americans have, as well as their historical monuments, flora, fauna, and if I go at the right time, participate in carnavals and some others special activities.




Of all the Latin americans countries I haven't visited it yet, I would like to go to Panama, because some friends have told me that Panama have great beaches, and I dont know, but for me coastal cities always have more life in their environment, at least for what I have seen in Latin America. 



Also, a thing I like to do when I plan to go to another country or anywhere, is to know the less possible about the place, except of the route I will do of course, or a tour I would want to take, because in that way, all the things I will see there, will be a completely enimga for my eyes.

The best holiday in my life

The best holiday I can remember, were when I was 6 years old, when me and my father’s family travelled to disney world a whole week during summer.

My Father’s family were composed with my step mom and his son, my father and me back then.

Obviously, I can't remember everything we did there, because it has been a long time since we flew there, but I remember perfectly that we saw a lot of 4D movies (in fact, there was the only time I have seen that kind of special effect).


Also, I remember myself ridding a lot of tematic roller coaster, for example, an ET roller coaster theme, in which you sit in a floating bike, just like in one part of the movie!! Or a Jurassic park aqua adventure in which  you are in a raft and as the raft goes down a river, you start to hear dinosaurs growls between the trees, and at the end of the river, one big dinosaur “swallow” the whole raft and wets you completely.

For me it has been the best holiday by far, because in just 1 week, we did a lot of fun activities, and everyone different of the others.

Fun fact, i still have a magician mickey mouse hat (the blue one) in my coyhaique’s house, along with three photos in my father’s house here in santiago.
